What’s up #RIPPEDFamily?

Spring is right around the corner, which means it is time to start kicking our routines into high gear to have our summer bodies ready! Along with a great R.I.P.P.E.D. or RUMBLE workout incorporated into your day, it’s important to follow through with a healthy meal to fuel your body.

Because meal prepping takes time and effort, it can be either a super fun task or a very overwhelming one. In order to get successful results with meal prepping, it’s essential to work smarter, not harder.

Looking to meal prep? Consider these tips:

It’s All About Balance

Eating balanced meals every 3 to 4 hours doesn’t have to be difficult; the key is being prepared and choosing meals that work for your lifestyle and schedule. Having dinners out with friends more than usual this week? Try prepping more snacks or consider a new, cleaner recipe for lunch.

Don’t Skip Breakfast

While we have all heard this tip before, it is one that should definitely be implemented into your daily lifestyle, even if meal prepping isn’t your thing. Starting off your day with an unhealthy meal or nothing at all for breakfast does not provide your body with the proper fuel to take on the day ahead. Your body needs nutrition for energy, focus, and clarity. If you have time in the morning, start your day with a fast, high quality breakfast like eggs or oatmeal to boost metabolism. If you are pressed for time, have a quick protein smoothie.

Create A Schedule

If you want to diet in a beneficial way, scheduling your meals and prep time will help you stay on track. Commit yourself to one day where you can cook all of your meals for the week. If you start to get burnt out of the same meals, don’t be afraid to mix it up! Creating a few different menus for your weeks will help spark interest in your diet. Once you have a few menus in your arsenal, you can rotate them in without getting bored with your meals.

As instructors and students of R.I.P.P.E.D. and RUMBLE, it’s important to take care of our bodies as a whole, and that includes diet and nutrition! Being mindful of what you put in your body will only help you succeed inside and outside of the gym.
