About Me

What\’s up ya\’ll?! My name is Jessica, Master Trainer coming to you all the way from South GA! I LOVE teaching R.I.P.P.E.D.! I\’ve been teaching group fitness for almost 10 years and have such a huge passion for fitness and nutrition. As a student and also an instructor, group fitness has given me the motivation, love, and dedication to inspire others to become the best versions of themselves.

When I first began teaching R.I.P.P.E.D., I was a very shy and quiet individual. I was so shy that I didn\’t even want to order my own food when going out to eat at a restaurant. When I was in class in school, I was the one hiding behind my book hoping that the teacher would overlook me and not call on me to speak. When I was 18 years old, I moved to Oahu, Hawaii where fitness is common nature and every where you drive someone is running down the street. One of my friends dragged me to a Zumba class and despite my shyness, I was hooked from day one. My instructor had so much passion and love for her classes and it was contagious. Taking classes over time gave me enough confidence to decide to get certified in Zumba fitness and later Group fitness through AFAA.

After getting certified in Zumba and after teaching for a few months, I decided that I wanted to learn more about fitness and pursue a career in some area of health and wellness. After walking through a YMCA one day, I saw a large poster of a master trainer, Rossie Ballard and an advertisement for the R.I.P.P.E.D. program that was coming to Oahu in the next few months. She looked so strong and fierce, and it truly reminded of the person who I was trying to become. I went home and signed up right away without even taking a class or truly understanding what this format was about. When I got to the training the next day and took the master class, I knew at that very moment that I was in the right place. The music was pumping, the class was full of energy, and the sweat was dripping. I had a blast and the experience was one that I will never forget! Rossie was my master trainer and she was full of energy and motivation and pushed up past our limits!

As I began teaching classes, I gained strong confidence and assurance in myself. I loved helping people and making them smile and that is one of the most rewarding aspects of this fitness program. Not only did I find that I was able to help others, but it also helped me though a very difficult part in my life when my own mother was diagnosed with cancer and passed away. As I helped take care of my mother through her illness before her passing, R.I.P.P.E.D. provided a sense of relief or escape from the stress and sadness that surrounded my life during that time. It gave me hope and something that I could look forward to when I went through my toughest days. Through my own experience, I learned that as an instructor, I can help other people through the struggles and difficult times that come with life. That is my goal and my hope as an instructor and master trainer of this program.

Since becoming an instructor, I also acquired an urgency and passion to learn more about health and fitness. Since 2011, I have completed over 20 different trainings, attended several national fitness conventions, and completed a Bachelor\’s degree in nutrition from the University of Alabama. I am currently in the process of completing a dietetic internship through Wellness Workdays based out of Boston, Massachusetts and am concentrating in Sport\’s Nutrition and interning at Duke University next Spring! After I become a registered dietitian, I hope to help others where they struggle with nutrition, and everyone knows that results are 80-85% of diet.

As a master trainer, I want to spread the love and passion that I have for R.I.P.P.E.D. to new instructors and instill the same value that teaching others has on not only improving but also changing lives and of how they can impact every student that they come into contact with every day.

Why do I love R.I.P.P.E.D.? It\’s simple:

It\’s the perfect combination of strength and cardio! If you\’re looking for a workout that will get you into shape, R.I.P.P.E.D. will rock your body! Get ready to get Shocked!!

Come join me for an awesome hour of pumping music and motivation.
