(Left to Right) Claudia, Terry, Lisa, Tina

#RIPPEDFamily, we want you to introduce you to a gem in our community, R.I.P.P.E.D. Instructor Claudia Kennedy. We met Claudia at the 2018 Atlanta MANIA and she’s such a friendly breath of fresh air. We knew we had to get to know Claudia a bit more and share her story with our Family.

A close friend invited her to a R.I.P.P.E.D. class a few years ago and she remembers loving the “high energy and the variety of workouts” in the class. After a few months of taking R.I.P.P.E.D. Claudia joined our Instructor Family and became certified in 2016 and now teaches at The Wellness Center at Navicent Health in Macon Georgia. “It’s the reason I became a group fitness instructor.”

After speaking to Claudia, we found out how she went from not being able to do a push-up, to standing in the front of the class inspiring her students to reach their goals. Here’s her story:

R.I.P.P.E.D.: How did you enjoy Atlanta MANIA? What was your favorite part of the weekend?

Claudia: I loved MANIA—the positive energy and variety of classes were amazing. It was my first year so I was blown away! Honestly, my favorite part of MANIA was meeting Terry and Tina!  They were both super friendly and genuinely interested in learning more about me!  I really appreciated the time they took to speak with me.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: What do you enjoy most about R.I.P.P.E.D.?

Claudia: I love the variety that the class offers.  The comprehensive workout paired with the upbeat, fun music allows for a positive, effective, habit-forming fitness experience.

“R.I.P.P.E.D. is the reason I became a group fitness instructor! The feeling of accomplishment after each class gave me the confidence needed to become an instructor.”

Claudia’s class even has poppin’ parties. One of her participants Tonya (center, blue shirt in plank) had her birthday party at her R.I.P.P.E.D. class. She even sent out invitations with the gym address and time of the class!!!!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: How has R.I.P.P.E.D. impacted your life?

Claudia: It has completely changed my commitment to fitness.  Prior to R.I.P.P.E.D., I would go to random classes, run on the treadmill and maybe do a few squats.  The variety in the 60-minute format and in the new seasons kept me motivated, interested and never bored! The feeling of accomplishment after each class gave me the confidence needed to become an instructor. I am so glad I did!

The participants and our clients are amazing! They bring it every week, never give up and love giving me updates on the progress they have with the workouts.  It’s rewarding to hear the excitement of a participant who masters a burpee or an endurance combo.  Their confidence and happiness is contagious!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: What changes have you seen since starting R.I.P.P.E.D.?

Claudia: Physically, I see arms with more definition!!!  That is super exciting for me.  When I started my fitness journey I couldn’t do a push-up!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: What has your experience been like with the #RIPPEDFamily?

Claudia: Amazing!  I love the connection that Terry and Tina make with us through Facebook Live.  It allows me as an instructor to feel valued and important!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Are you participating in the Fall 2018 R.I.P.P.E.D. 2 Fit Challenge?

Of course! This is my first one, so I can wait for it to start!!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Why did you decide to become a R.I.P.P.E.D. trainer?

The Fab Five R.I.P.P.E.D. teachers at their local Wellness Center.

Claudia: My trainers were inspirational and encouraging. I wanted to spark the love of fitness in others they way my trainers did in me. That feeling is unlike any other!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Do you have any inspiration for people who have a desire to live a healthier lifestyle but think it’s too hard?

Claudia: Start with joining a group fitness class! The comradery and accountability make the seemingly difficult healthy lifestyle a lot easier and definitely more fun!
