Hey #RIPPEDFamily!

Our other R.I.P.P.E.D. co-MVP for February is Jonathan Vinta!

Before Jonathan became a R.I.P.P.E.D. instructor seven years ago, he was considered the “shy guy”. He credits years of teaching and being a part of our #RIPPEDFamily as helping him share his passion for fitness with so many students.

Learn how he was able to inspire his students to push themselves by finding his own confidence:

R.I.P.P.E.D.: What or who got you to your first R.I.P.P.E.D. class and when did you join the family?

Jonathan: I started back in 2012. I got the chance to take a Master Class with Terry Shorter, fell in love with the program and signed up for the training the next day. I have been teaching R.I.P.P.E.D. ever since then!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: What do you enjoy most about R.I.P.P.E.D.?

Jonathan: I love seeing people push themselves past what they thought they couldn’t do. Seeing them laugh, smile and push their limits is extremely rewarding- and we get to do this twice a week!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: How has R.I.P.P.E.D. impacted your life?

Jonathan: For myself, I have changed physically, stronger, faster and more agile. As far as the impact on my life from my students, it has been extremely rewarding. They are doing things they never thought they could do. They can do burpees and pushups without putting their knees on the ground. Some of the most rewarding things are when our students tell us they are no longer on certain medications and that they no longer have joint pains.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: How does it feel to be chosen as an MVP?

Jonathan: It’s an amazing blessing. We didn’t start teaching this program for any type of recognition but being noticed and thanked for our years of dedication to the program does mean a lot.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: What motivates you to get up every day to do R.I.P.P.E.D.?

Jonathan: Our students! Our students have always been number one to us and they keep us wanting to give them our best so they can obtain their best! Many of them have been with us since we started 7 years ago and seeing their transformations, physically, emotionally and mentally keeps us working to be the best we can for them.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Share your experience becoming a R.I.P.P.E.D. instructor.

Jonathan: For those who know me, I really am a “wallflower”, socially awkward or just plain shy.  However, seeing our students smile and the excitement coming to class every week has pushed me out of my comfort zone and has taught me so much. I’d just like to tell anyone thinking about being an instructor, just go for it. It’s so worth it!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: What are your goals for R.I.P.P.E.D. Season 36?

Jonathan: My goal for any season is to keep pushing myself to learn it inside and out. Make sure I know exactly what I’m doing so we can give our class the best experience each and every week. I am excited for Season 36, as I am for all the seasons, because it’s always new and fresh.
