Uncategorized

Fellow family member, Juan Reyes inspired us all when he posted his R.I.P.P.E.D. 2 Fit transformation half way through the challenge in our R.I.P.P.E.D. Facebook group. We just knew we had to talk to him about his progress in hopes that it will inspire others who have struggled with weight loss results. Little did we know, he would also provide inspiration for people who struggle with consistency and others who are overweight and battling health condition like diabetes and high blood pressure.

Juan was very transparent with us about how he and his family struggled with their health as a result of their weight. But only he can tell his story best! Read about his incredible journey:

Juan’s R.I.P.P.E.D. class!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Who introduced you to R.I.P.P.E.D.?

JUAN: “I fought with my overweight problems all my life. My grandfather and some cousins died from complications with diabetes 2, and there are a lot of other people in my family living with type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. When I developed high blood pressure and a stomach ulcer from being overweight I decided to make some changes in my lifestyle.

My wife asked me to open a fitness studio because she also had overweight problems and she loves to dance. So, we opened the studio and my wife start teaching Zumba. She ask me to teach another format and I start taking some Insanity classes but, I don’t like too much.

One day, Sandra Gavilondo a R.I.P.P.E.D. instructor asked me to join a R.I.P.P.E.D. class. And the first time I took the class I loved it. I made the decision of join the family and become an instructor a few months later. One of the best decisions in my life!

The gratitude of my students is the best form of payment. I do R.I.P.P.E.D. for passion, not for money.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: What do you enjoy most about R.I.P.P.E.D.?

JUAN: I love helping my students reach their goals. I love when they say, “thanks for helping me with my overweight problems,” and “I don’t have those health problems anymore,” and “I feel and looks to much better.” The gratitude of my students is the best form of payment. I do R.I.P.P.E.D. for passion, not for money.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: How has R.I.P.P.E.D. impacted your life? What changes do you see?

JUAN: After almost 4 years teaching R.I.P.P.E.D., my body changed a lot. I lost around 40 pounds, and I look stronger and more toned. I changed my lifestyle to try to eat healthier and be more disciplined.

I made a decision to throw away all my bigger clothes

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Tell us about your experience with the R.I.P.P.E.D. 2 Fit Challenge. How has it changed your lifestyle? What improvement do you see?

JUAN: With R.I.P.P.E.D. 2 Fit 2017 I lost 20 pounds but after a couple months, I gained almost all of it back because I had a lot of personal problems and got stressed. But I made a decision to throw away all my bigger clothes (36 jeans and XL t-shirts) and, only kept my 34 and 32 jeans, and small and medium t-shirts. I told myself, ‘I’m never going back to bigger clothes.’ With R.I.P.P.E.D. 2 Fit 2018 I feel so much better and is my personal revenge!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Why did you decide to become a R.I.P.P.E.D. trainer and how are you finding it?

JUAN: I decided be a R.I.P.P.E.D. instructor because I wanted to help people who are overweight and dealing with health problems like I was. I want to help people who want to feel and look better. I teach R.I.P.P.E.D. in a less fortunate area in Albuquerque, NM and everyone can’t afford to pay for membership at a big gym. I want to find a way to help everybody who wants to make a lifestyle change, no matter if they have money to paid or not.

Juan’s transformation

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Do you have any inspiration for people who have a desire to live a healthier lifestyle but think it’s too hard?

JUAN: I know it can be hard, but if I can do it, YOU CAN DO IT. But it is your personal decision. If one day you think it’s time to make some lifestyle changes I’m here or any other R.I.P.P.E.D. instructor around the world is there for you. We are a big family and we love to help you. But remember it is your decision.

Amen to that! The R.I.P.P.E.D. family is always here to support and inspire you throughout your journey. That goes for you too Juan!

Thanks so much for sharing such an amazing story. You’ve definitely inspired us to remain consistent with healthy diets and regular exercise.
