Uncategorized

Hey R.I.P.P.E.D. Family! We’re highlighting another special person this week to celebrate our R.I.P.P.E.D. 2 Fit Winners. You’ve Meet Cecy and Angel, and now it’s time for us to introduce you to R.I.P.P.E.D. Trainer Elizabeth Young. Elizabeth is a rock star trainer at Campbell County YMCA in Fort Myers, KY. She raved to us about all of your support as her RIPPED family and just like Cecy and Angel, she couldn’t thank Master Trainer Amy Wilson enough for her motivational coaching.

But, we’ll let her give you the scoop on her journey! Read it below:

R.I.P.P.E.D.: What do you like about R.I.P.P.E.D.?

Elizabeth: The thing I love most about R.I.P.P.E.D. is the way it makes me feel. Even though I am physically exhausted, I am empowered mentally after class. I feel confident, strong, and positive. I like that it is a total body workout all in one class. I can get my cardio and my strength training and be done! The music is uplifting, encouraging, and fun.

I also love the people. There is nothing better than going into a class with other people, pushing your muscles and your mind to places you didn’t know they could go. The R.I.P.P.E.D family (in real life and virtually) is one of a kind. Virtual friends have become real life friends, and the people I have met through R.I.P.P.E.D. have enhanced my life.  They are people who will lift me up, who will answer my questions, and who will always inspire me to be my best and to inspire others!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Why did you choose to do the R.I.P.P.E.D. 2 Fit Challenge?

Elizabeth: I joined the R.I.P.P.E.D. 2 Fit Challenge because I needed something for ME. I stay at home with my 3 children and I have to be intentional about taking care of myself. I had already stepped out of my comfort zone to become a R.I.P.P.E.D. instructor and I knew what that had done for my mental and physical health I had the workouts down but I wanted to see what really committing to the Diet/Nutrition could do for me.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: What were your main motivators through the challenge?

Elizabeth: This was not the first time I tried a fitness challenge. But it is the first time I finished and was successful.  The reason for my success was that I had all the tools I needed.  I had the workouts, and I had to show up because I was teaching! I had a nutrition coach, Master Trainer Amy Wilson, that checked in every single day.  Her daily questions helped me stay focused. Her tough love pushed me through hard days, and her Facebook Live video chats helped me learn strategies to stick to my plan and complete my goal.

I had a realistic goals and reasons behind those goals. We referred to this as our “why.”  My “why” for the first time wasn’t related to being a certain size or a certain number on the scale. My “why” was about feeling good, getting rid of anxiety and post-partum depression, and being a better mom, wife, and overall person.  Finally the R2F Challenge Facebook group was key in my success because I had so much support from this group. We held each other accountable, gave each other ideas and recipes for success, inspired each other, and understood each other’s challenges.  With all of these tools, all I needed was the drive within myself to be successful.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: What was the most exciting part of your journey?

Elizabeth: During the R2F Challenge I lost over 12 inches, but what is more impressive is what I gained. I gained confidence, strength, and energy. There was a day when I thought I would never be able to do more than a couple of “real” push-ups. Now I can knock them out during R.I.P.P.E.D. Others noticed a difference in my attitude. My dad said he noticed I was more positive and I wasn’t letting things upset me as much.  With three little ones and not getting a full night of sleep, I still had more energy than ever to be able to give more of myself to my family and the participants in my classes.

We’re over the moon that you are not only seeing improvements on the outside, but most importantly on the inside. Feeling better and becoming a happier person is what we strive to see in our R.I.P.P.E.D. Family. Thank you for sharing your amazing story with us and motivating others who might need a little push to become a happier version of themselves.
