You’re almost halfway through your R.I.P.P.E.D. class! Now that your body is all warmed up from the resistance and interval training, you’re ready for some serious POWER! The third portion of R.I.P.P.E.D. classes is power exercises, which include working out the larger parts of the body, like your glutes, chest, back and legs!
Just like resistance and interval training, we incorporated power moves in our classes to get the best results for our athletes! Here’s how we bring a punch of power in our classes and why we included these exercises!
What Are POWER Exercises?
Power exercises target the big muscle groups in the body for big calorie burn! We focus on the glutes, chest, back and legs with these exercises and you’re sure to feel the muscles hard at work the minute you start. Some of our favorite moves to incorporate in our classes are Brazilian Burpees (burpees with a kick through), squats, and push-ups!
How POWER Exercises work!
Incorporating these exercises that are targeting the larger muscle groups in the body ensure a lot of calorie burning and toning! When you workout and focus on those four major muscles, your body will continue to burn calories long after your workout is complete. Building strength and power go hand in hand; we want our athletes to be their absolute strongest! Once you’ve built that strength, workouts become easier!
Why We Add Power To R.I.P.P.E.D.!
When programming R.I.P.P.E.D. classes, we are extremely strategic and precise about which exercises to add and where they belong in class. We placed power moves behind intervals and before plyometrics because we want our athletes to build the strength to keep pushing through class and incorporate focused toning moves after the big cardio boost in intervals! By bringing the power in the middle of class, it gives our athletes’ muscles more POWER to keep burning calories throughout the class and the day!
