Meet Up With Emeryville, CA R.I.P.P.E.D. Trainer During MANIA® Weekend

#RIPPEDFamily it’s time to say hey to Anthony Thomas! Anthony is a Personal Trainer and R.I.P.P.E.D. instructor at Sobekick Gym in Emeryville, CA. We’re on a mission to get you all acquainted with all of our R.I.P.P.E.D. Family in and around the area where California MANIA® will be held. And guess what—Anthony is the closest R.I.P.P.E.D. instructor to the conference and has agreed to host private R.I.P.P.E.D. classes for anyone who wants to join during that weekend. But he’ll tell you all about that later. This fitness stud joined our family through fate. He took a R.I.P.P.E.D. class at his gym that just happened to fit into his schedule and enjoyed the music (a family favorite), modifications and much it challenged him.

But that’s enough talk from us—here’s Anthony:

How has R.I.P.P.E.D. impacted your life?

It made me more interested in fitness overall. Before I just had a weightlifting routine that worked well but wasn’t exciting and taking other classes never gave me results. Taking R.I.P.P.E.D. allowed me to mix up my routine and got me motivated to train harder because I wanted to keep up in the class.

Just like everyone in life I’ve failed way more then I’ve succeeded but all those failures made it feel good to succeed.

Why did you become a R.I.P.P.E.D. trainer?

I became A R.I.P.P.E.D. trainer to add to my skill set and become more accessible as a Personal Trainer. I went through the struggle of finding fitness routines that were exciting and actually worked. It feels good being able to offer effective trainings in a group setting that people can expect. It just allows me to impact more people.

Do you have any inspiration for people who have a desire to live a healthier lifestyle but think it’s too hard?

Yes, it’s hard, but not too hard. I lost over 100lbs and after that journey I realized everything I ever thought I couldn’t do was all in my head, being disguised under excuses, doubt, and growing pains. I remember saying I don’t have time, I didn’t know what to do or where to go. I remember every excuse I ever used. But none of it ended up being true. Whatever the mind thinks the body will follow. Just like everyone in life I’ve failed way more then I’ve succeeded but all those failures made it feel good to succeed.

Will you be adding any additional classes during MANIA® weekend?

For the weekend I will do some group private classes for anyone who contacts me via email or social media.

We’ve wrapped up all the information you need about MANIA® in a handy blog post. Get all the details about our R.I.P.P.E.D. reunion during the April 6th -8th weekend.
