Our February RUMBLE Rockstar is Sheila Sinsay!

Uncategorized

It’s that time again R.I.P.P.E.D. Family! You know how much we love to brag about how fabulous and spectacular you all are. This week, we’re shining a light on Sheila Sinsay, our February RUMBLE Rockstar! She joined our R.I.P.P.E.D. instructor family in October 2017 and didn’t hesitate to start taking RUMBLE the following month, November 2017.

We spoke to this true fitness rockstar about her experience with RUMBLE and taking the R.I.P.P.E.D. 2 Fit Challenge. She also revealed why R.I.P.P.E.D. Founder Terry nicknamed her, “The Sparkplug.”

R.I.P.P.E.D.: What or who got you to your first class?

From left to right: Rachel Bradshaw, Amy Wilson & Sheila Sinsay

Sheila: My local gym, L.A.C. J-town, had its RUMBLE debut master class with program director Susan Viar Jessup and RUMBLE master trainers Joshua Bradley and Amy Wilson on that day. Prior to that, I heard bits and pieces about RUMBLE from fellow R.I.P.P.E.D.-sters Janice Carter Smith, Marcella Dobson, Jennie Currin, and Amy Wilson herself, who had experienced RUMBLE at Revival. They all raved about how great the program was, so I just had to try it for myself.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: How did you get the nickname “The Sparkplug”?

Sheila: Terry Shorter gave me the nickname, and I just LOVE it! I’m told I have a lot of energy and, despite being under 5 feet tall, that energy makes it seem like I’m 10 feet. Believe me, I’d settle for 5!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: What do you like most about RUMBLE?

Sheila: I love how empowered (read that as bad@$$, if I may be so bold) I feel after each and every class. I also relish just how much FUN the class is. I don’t really feel like I’m working out even though I end up a sweaty, sweaty mess at the end.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: What do the people in your classes say about R.I.P.P.E.D.?

Sheila: My fellow classmates all speak very highly of the program. It’s a wonderful plan that’s fun and plateau-proof! You can do R.I.P.P.E.D. no matter what fitness level you are, and each season challenges you to be stronger.

R.I.P.P.E.D. is my first love, and RUMBLE is my bestie!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Share with us your experience at R.I.P.P.E.D. and tell us about the R.I.P.P.E.D. family.

Sheila: R.I.P.P.E.D. has, quite simply, changed my life for the better. I’ve finally found a FUN wellness program I’m passionate about and can consistently follow. The R.I.P.P.E.D. family is absolutely amazing. You can see across the entire R.I.P.P.E.D. nation just how much we LOVE and have fun with the program.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Have you or will you get certified for R.I.P.P.E.D.?

Sheila: Yes, I became certified to teach R.I.P.P.E.D. on October 1st of 2017—the day after my birthday. R.I.P.P.E.D. is my foundation, my home base, and the core program that makes me a stronger, healthier person. RUMBLE, In contrast, is that bonus extra-curricular class you take to have fun and feel better. In simpler terms, R.I.P.P.E.D. is my first love, and RUMBLE is my bestie!

Remember to strive for progress, NOT perfection

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Tell us about your first experience with R2F. How has it prepared you for this R2F Challenge?

Sheila: The first R2F challenge was truly eye-opening! I see food in a different light. It’s simply fuel for my body, nothing more and nothing less. For most people—myself included, previously—food is a source of comfort. Ask my friends, and they’ll tell you I’m the ultimate foodie. I gained an immense amount of knowledge from the last challenge with the coaching of Amy Wilson. The most important take away for me was “un-learning” what I thought was “eating healthy” and really seeing what clean eating can do for my well-being. I’ve carried that knowledge with me going into this current R2F challenge.

Lookin’ Good Sheila!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Do you have advice for our Family doing R2F now?

Sheila: The best advice I can give the current R2F challengers is to use your resources! The R2F Challenge Facebook page is AMAZING! The support on that page from fellow challengers and Amy Wilson is HUGE. Lean on each other to get through those days when you’re on the struggle bus. That’s what the page is for. And remember to strive for progress, NOT perfection. We’re in this together and will see absolutely AMAZING results at the end of this challenge!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Anything else you’d like to share with the #RIPPEDFamily?

Sheila: I can’t say enough about how much I love R.I.P.P.E.D. I’m so grateful that Amy Wilson introduced me to this wonderful program and for the love and support from my R.I.P.P.E.D. family!

Wow! Talk about inspiration! We spotted at least six quotable responses we could take away from Sheila’s interview. Thanks so much for telling your story Sheila and encouraging our fitness family!

Our February R.I.P.P.E.D. Rockstar Bianca Daukei also shared her moving story with us. Find out how she used R.I.P.P.E.D. to reverse her type 2 diabetes and lose over 68 pounds.
