You all know every day is a celebration here at R.I.P.P.E.D., right? During the month of November, we are celebrating instructor Denise Milanowski for being R.I.P.P.E.D.’s One Stop Body Shock MVP! Denise joined our family in 2012 and has been a dedicated instructor ever since. She teaches a R.I.P.P.E.D. class five times a week at Elevation Dance Academy.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: How did you become a R.I.P.P.E.D. instructor?
Denise: I never took a R.I.P.P.E.D. class before I took the training course. I love weight training and remember seeing a post on Facebook from another instructor saying they were going to try a R.I.P.P.E.D. class.
I looked up R.I.P.P.E.D. and was literally salivating at a program that incorporated weight training, along with other HIIT components. It sounded right up my alley. Ironically, there was a training coming up two weeks later about two hours from where I live. Once I met the master instructor and we started the class, I was HOOKED and blown away.
Not one person per se got me to a class, it just sounded right to me and I had to go for it. This was my soul mate workout.
R.I.P.P.E.D.: What do you like about R.I.P.P.E.D.?
Denise: OMG, what don’t I like? I love all aspects of this format. The blocks have a specific purpose and are easy to learn and follow. ANY person at any age or fitness level can make this class work for them. Not only do I love the program, I have met some of the greatest people too. Ask and you shall receive.
I have made true friendships and have no issue asking for help or support from anyone in this RIPPED family if I would ever need it and vice versa. I am also so grateful that this format helps me get out of my head with self-doubt and body issues. Another reason I love this format is because it helped me build my confidence and learn to have a strong mentality so that I can do almost anything I set my mind to. It is so empowering!!!
R.I.P.P.E.D.: Can you tell us about your experience with R.I.P.P.E.D.?
Denise: My experience is a true feeling of belonging. It is a real family and community. Personal phone calls when a pet passes away, supporting others in their fitness endeavors, sharing success stories and struggles—I can’t imagine not being a part of it.
Real people who really care. I have been a part of this family since 2012. I have so many stories of empowerment and real encouragement, even from people who I have never met.
We are from all different walks of life with different beliefs and things going on in our lives, but we can all come together and appreciate each other in R.I.P.P.E.D. This is the way a family SHOULD be—100% supportive.
R.I.P.P.E.D.: Are you certified in Rumble as well?
Denise: I got certified in Rumble as soon as I could on October 14th. I was in the 3rd training offered and am already teaching it twice a week. I adore it!!! It is the perfect compliment to the R.I.P.P.E.D. program!
R.I.P.P.E.D.: How was your experience at Revival?
Denise: REVIVAL!!!!! I have been to all 3 REVIVALS!! Nothing compares to it. 3-ish days with your fitness family doing all the things you love with people who “get it.” I will go to all of them in the future!!
R.I.P.P.E.D.: Is there anything else you’d like to share with the R.I.P.P.E.D. Family?
Denise: I would like to share my appreciation for Tina and Terry. I am so happy I ran across this program and went for it. I am stronger physically, mentally and emotionally for doing this.
It has pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me gain confidence. There are a handful of instructors who hold a place in my heart and are true friends. To name one, Rossie Ballard is my greatest inspiration. She is amazing at what she does, a great motivator and supporter. I am proud to call her a friend.
I miss everyone and wish we were closer so we could rock out our workouts together. ‘Til REVIVAL 2018!!
