Take on the R.I.P.P.E.D. 2 Fit Challenge and Gain Life-Changing Results

R.I.P.P.E.D. Family, what’s going on?

We’re super pumped to see all of the progress you all have made this year in creating healthier lifestyles for yourselves. It’s such a pleasure to have all of you on this journey with us. We’re always looking for new ways to encourage and motivate our family to strengthen your bodies and endurance using all of the letters in R.I.P.P.E.D.

For our last R.I.P.P.E.D. 2 Fit Challenge, we wanted to not only focus on the fitness but also the diet to help you all receive well-rounded results—and that it did. R.I.P.P.E.D. Master Trainer, Amy Wilson who has been teaching group fitness classes for over 25 years shared the evolution of this past R2F challenge and the life-changing results that came out of it. We’re talking stories that will move you to tears—of joy of course!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Tell us about the last R2F challenge?

Amy Wilson, R.I.P.P.E.D. Master Trainer

The last R2F challenge was started six weeks prior to the R.I.P.P.E.D. Revival. We wanted to do something to help people embrace and learn the “D” part of R.I.P.P.E.D., which is so different from other programs. Also with the Revival as the “end” of the 6-week challenge, there was a goal for lots of participants to come to California looking and feeling their absolute best.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: What did you think was the most successful element of the R2F challenge?

Amy Wilson, R.I.P.P.E.D. Master Trainer

I think it was the change in the participant’s mindset. The first week there were A LOT of unsure participants! Embracing and learning a new way for anything is HARD. Now take that and mix it with unhealthy habits that need to be broken and new habits to be formed—it is easy for anyone to be negative.

The ‘can do’ attitude and whatever it takes attitudes were amazing! The participants really embraced the challenge and embraced change! They really did want to be successful.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Were you surprised at the number of people who saw the challenge through to the end?

Amy Wilson, R.I.P.P.E.D. Master Trainer

I was really shocked. Most health programs see maybe about 15-20% of participants finishing. We saw around 80%!

R.I.P.P.E.D.: What kind of feedback did you receive from people after the challenge?

Amy Wilson, R.I.P.P.E.D. Master Trainer

They loved the challenge! Loved the FB group and did not want that support page to end. They became a big family and cheered each other one. Their stories had me in tears.

Also, that they were not starving! Couldn’t believe that they could actually eat and eat real food.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Can you tell us about some of the participants’ amazing results?

Amy Wilson, R.I.P.P.E.D. Master Trainer

We had several people who were able to either decrease or come off their medication for blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes. Aches and pains were going away, and some experienced fewer migraines. And then there were those who were happier! Their mood improved with the R2F challenge.

We also had R.I.P.P.E.D. instructors who had their own smaller groups who celebrated so many victories with their students and cheered them on. Their classes grew, and they saw greater retention because of the challenge.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Why do you think participants see such great results after doing the R2F challenge?

Amy Wilson, R.I.P.P.E.D. Master Trainer

When Terry and I were discussing the R2F Challenge, I told him I did not want to do just a weight loss challenge. There needed to be more. You see weight loss challenges all the time with “The Biggest Loser” and challenges at work. But the results don’t last.

In the R2F challenge, we focused on health, on energy, on getting stronger. We also focused on the mental aspect. Participants had to look deep and discover their “why.” And losing 10 pounds wasn’t good enough it had to be deeper. Our participants went deep! Their ‘whys’ had Tina and me in tears.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: One of the winners, Cecy Drury almost didn’t enter because she didn’t want to submit a before photo. What can you say to the people hesitant to participate in this challenge?

Amy Wilson, R.I.P.P.E.D. Master Trainer

Do it!!! What do you have to lose except inches and inflammation? Plus, you’ll gain knowledge, energy, and a better attitude. Yes the before picture is scary, but so many people were glad they took the before so they could see the after. They were so proud of the after that they wanted people to see the before picture! It showed real people with real results.

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Why do you love the R2F challenge?

Amy Wilson, R.I.P.P.E.D. Master Trainer

Because it works! This is not just a Diet. Diets have start and stop dates. This is nutrition. A challenge to teach people how to succeed even when the 6 weeks are over. J

R.I.P.P.E.D.: Is there anything else we didn’t ask that you’d like to add?

Amy Wilson, R.I.P.P.E.D. Master Trainer

The people who had the best success at the challenge:

  • Took a before picture
  • Were active on the FB page…not necessarily posting every day. But commenting, liking and answering my daily questions
  • Did R.I.P.P.E.D. 3 times a week
