Pump It UP with Plyometrics!

Now that the sweat’s dripping and your heart rate is sky high, it’s time to kick our workout up a notch! You’ve warmed up your muscles with resistance, got your heart rate rocketing with intervals and burned some serious calories with power! Let’s jump up to the next level with plyometrics!

Plyos, or plyometrics, are exercises that involve catching air and jumping. These moves are perfect for increasing power and getting your heart rate up in a short amount of time. Here’s why we brought pumping plyos to R.I.P.P.E.D. classes!

What Are Plyos?

Plyometrics are an integral part of R.I.P.P.E.D. classes because they boost our heart rates and make us move! With plyo moves, our muscles exert maximum force and increase power with speed. Some killer plyo exercises we incorporate in R.I.P.P.E.D. classes are jumping, jump tucks, high knees, and burpees; anything that gets your feet off the ground! Watch our Master Trainer, Anthony Griffin, amp up with plyos in the gym here!

How Do Plyos Work?

Every time you land from a jump, your muscles get a nice, deep stretch FAST! That gives your next jump even more power! The combination of stretching and contracting your muscles whips them into shape. Plyos target your legs and glutes; so say hello to strong and sculpted calves!

Why Are Plyos Our Fourth Move In R.I.P.P.E.D. Classes?

We designed our classes to be the One Stop Body Shock for our athletes. By incorporating plyos to each class, it ensures our athletes are boosting their muscle power in fun and innovative ways! By placing plyometrics in between power moves and endurance, it gets our cardio in for the best results!

Get ready to kick your feet off the floor with plyos at your next R.I.P.P.E.D. class! We can’t wait to catch some air with you.
